Bioastronautics and Human Performance

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Víctor Sainz Ubide

Victor is a Visiting Student at the department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University. He is researching new models of metabolic cost for humans on extravehicular activities and studying the biomechanics of new exercise equipment that could be used on future long term space missions.

Victor is finishing a Bachelor of Science on Engineering Physics and another BSc on Industrial Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain) within the CFIS program, where he is a board member of the alumni association. He has been a data consultant intern in Kernel Analytics, a visiting student in the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory at Oxford UK and a main organizer of the job fair on his school.

On his free time he likes to volunteer, play sports, travel and code. He was a scout in Spain for nine years and has travelled to other countries as such, being also staff on a Boy Scouts of America summer camp in New York. He was a track & field athlete in high school but now he trains for pleasure. He also is interested in coding, specially web development (backend) and wants to keep learning and take over new projects.
